An attacker pepper-sprayed a Manhattan subway conductor early Tuesday, cops said.
The MTA conductor was on a northbound 6 train at the Bleecker Street station, near the corner of Lafayette Street in NoHo, around 1:20 a.m. when the assailant doused him with the substance, authorities said.
The suspect bolted after the assault and no arrests have been made.
Cops did not know early Monday what led up to the attack and did yet provide any description of the attacker.
The MTA did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Just last week, three transit workers were assaulted in separate incidents in Brooklyn and Midtown Manhattan, according to officials and police sources.
